Who we are
This website is operated by Nicole Drewett, trading as Nicole Drewett Counselling and Psychotherapy ("we," "us," "our"). We are the data controller for the personal data described in this policy. You can contact us at nicole@nicoledrewettcounselling.co.uk or 07522 137474.
What we collect
When you use the contact form on this website, we collect:
- Your name and email address
- Your phone number, if you choose to provide it
- The service you're interested in, if you tell us
- Anything you write in the message field, which may include sensitive information about your circumstances or wellbeing that you choose to share
We do not use cookies, analytics, or any other tracking technology on this website.
How we use it
We use the information you submit solely to respond to your enquiry and, where relevant, to arrange and provide counselling sessions. Our legal basis for processing this is your consent, given by submitting the form, and our legitimate interest in responding to enquiries about our services.
Where a message contains information about your health or mental wellbeing, this is treated as special category data under UK GDPR. We only process it because you have chosen to share it with us for the purpose of seeking counselling support.
Who we share it with
Enquiry form submissions are processed by Formspree, a third-party form service, which forwards them to us by email. Formspree is based in the United States, so your data may be processed outside the UK; Formspree maintains its own safeguards for international transfers, details of which are available at formspree.io/legal/privacy-policy.
We do not sell, rent, or share your data with any other third party for marketing purposes.
How long we keep it
If you don't go on to become a client, we keep enquiry details only for as long as needed to respond to you, and delete them after that. If you become a client, your information forms part of your client records, which we retain in line with our professional record-keeping obligations as a BACP-registered counsellor.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law, you have the right to:
- Ask for a copy of the personal data we hold about you
- Ask us to correct inaccurate data
- Ask us to delete your data, where we're not required to keep it
- Object to or restrict how we use your data
- Ask for your data in a portable format
To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the details above. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO), the UK regulator for data protection.
Security
We take reasonable steps to protect the information you share with us, including relying on Formspree's and our email provider's security measures for data in transit and storage.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with a revised "last updated" date.
